Ready, set, begin! 

This is one of the most exciting times of year in the Mojave desert, a time when our fingers are crossed that there was enough soaking rain in the fall and winter months to produce spring wildflowers. The extent and timing of wildflower blooms here in the Morongo Basin area vary from year to another but we are excited to report it appears there are early signs of a great season ahead!

As of February 13th there are 5 reported locations in Joshua Tree National Park where wildflowers are starting to bloom: Cottonwood Canyon, Smoke Tree Wash, Ocotillo Patch, Wilson Canyon, and Porcupine Wash. For details on these locations and photographs for reference check out the Joshua Tree National Park Wildflower reports:
